Tara Lipinski, 1998
I've just recently re-read Tara Lipinski's autobiography. Let's just say it made me get out of bed and go skating for three hours. The book its self is pretty much about what started to make her skate and talks about her coaches and competitions. It would probably seem boring if you aren't a figure skater, because it uses a lot of skating terms. Tara Lipinski is the reason I started skating. After her Olympic program, I begged my mom for lessons. Let's just say I've been skating pretty much ever since. I love Tara Lipinski as a skater. I think she is graceful and is an amazing jumper. I admire her for being the youngest person ever to win the Olympics and Worlds. I think this is a great read for a skater and maybe even a skater's parent.

Prep: A Novel
This book was they most amazing thing I've read in a long time (that's saying something because I just finished the whole twilight series). It's a raw account of what High School has been like for me so far (I'm in 10th grade), except maybe the setting, and made me think about how High school is so tough and there are times you don't think you can make it through. It made me fell lucky to have my amazing friends and my amazing boyfriend. These are things I can't take for granted and am sorry that I did for however short a time. This is the one book of the few books where I strive not to be like the main character, though in so many ways I am. I hope that know one has to go through the things I experienced in Middle School as the over mature teenager who should have been born two years earlier with most of my friends. 8th grade was one of the toughest years of my life and this book made me look back on those times and opened up some of my still healing insecurities with my weight and girls my age. It sounds stupid to say these things about a book, but It really did do that to me and I'm still healing after finishing it a week ago and then re-reading my favorite passages over and over. This book made me remember the day I discovered that my "friends" had ditched me and started making fun of me behind my back. It became so bad that I would come home crying after being teased or ignored. I still had some friends, but they hung out with these people and didn't talk to me unless we were alone or pretty close to it. Girls I had helped join the popular group by lending then a hand, suddenly turned on me and made my life miserable. I never had closure from this event, but now I think I'm starting to get it. Even after I started dating my boyfriend who is everything I ever wanted (Seth Cohen from The OC and Nate from Gossip girl combined with a little of Edward from Twilight's protectiveness thrown in. And he's a Junior =D) I couldn't forget about my past. I must thank this novel for helping me get past this. If you haven't ever had an experience like this or one on the same level as it this book is still an amazing read that I highly recommend to every one.

Ahh Skating Bags
Okay I'm very excited now, because I just ordered my second Zuca bag for skating and it was love from first picture.
My dad finally relented after I begged for so long. my frist bag was completely ruined (I've had it for five years) and I was in desperate need for a new one, but they're pricy so I couldn't afford the $200 bag and needed my parents help. I had to land my double loop, double loop combo before I got it. I landed it two days ago. Now I just need to find away to get that new competition dress...

You Jump, I Jump Jack
Okay, so I've decided to take this blog in a new direction. I don't feel like limiting what I can write about. I've decided to make this blog about my thoughts, my favorite tv shows, school, friends, and fashion. I still love Gilmore girls, but I want to take this blog into a new direction that will help me express myself and show what I know and love! Basically It's time for me to take that jump. I hope everyone who reads this blog enjoys it just as much as I enjoy writing for it.
I Love You All XOXO,
Kristen
